Bhayan-E-Ghalib, a unique ensemble of Kathak, Ghazal and Narration will be held in the city on 18th January at Shilpakala Vedika


Hyderabad, January 13, 2025: Bhayan-E-Ghalib a cultural tribute celebrating legendary Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib to be held in the city at Shilpakala Vedia at Madhapur at 7pm on 18th January, 2025

 

The Ghazals will be rendered by Dr Prabha Srivastava, who revives Ghazals through dedicated concerts, preserving their allure for a new generation with unwavering passion. The Kathak Dance Drama will be performed by Prof, Kumkum Dhar & Troupe.  Prof, Kumkum Dhar is a Kathak Dance Drama to be performed by Prof, Kumkum Dhar & Troupe.   Prof Kumkum is a renowned Kathak dancer who has made significant contributions to the art form. Narration by Syd Kabir Ahmad and Sudhanshu Mani.  Scholar Syed Kabeer Ahmad will naarate Ghalib’s journey. Sudhanshu Mani is also the producer of the show.  Stage and Lighting by Gopal Sinha.

The show is the rare combination of Ghazals and Kathak.  It is a series of shows.  It was first held in Lucknow and now in Hyderabad.  And it is likely to be organized in New Delhi. 

 

About 1500 people are expected to participate in the show. 

 

Disclosing this in a press conference at FTCCI on Monday, Dr. Koustubh Dhumal and Mr. Sudhanshu Mani that it is a cultural tribute celebrating the genius of the legendary Urdu poet Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghālib is affectionately known as Mirza Ghālib. This immersive event combines powerful narration, soulful ghazal renditions, and enchanting Kathak dance to bring to life the poetry and persona of one of the most iconic figures in Urdu literature.

 

The Bayān-e-Ghālib event will be produced by Mr. Sudhanshu Mani, the visionary behind India’s Vande Bharat Express, and proudly sponsored by Aand Kutumb Senior Community Living, which is committed to offering seniors a vibrant and supportive living environment.

 

The entry to the show is free for senior citizens and care givers and the organisers welcome them in large numbers.  For other categories, a nominal fee of Rs 399/- will be charged.  The tickets can be booked online on www.bookmyshow.com
