Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary of Telangana visited Mahbubnagar and took stock of various development works in the district on Wednesday.
The Chief Secretary who visited Palakonda village and conducted a surprise inspection of the construction works of the Integrated District Collectorate building and directed the concern officials to speed up the building works and complete them at the earliest.
The CS inspected the entire building structure and took stock of various facilities such as Collector Chamber, Meeting Hall, Video Conference Hall, Vehicle Parking area and various other office rooms being constructed in the first and second floors of the integrated collectorate building.
“The Chief Secretary has inspected the new integrated office building that is coming up in Palakonda in Mahabubnagar and directed the concerned officials to speed up the works. As already the works are almost nearing completion it is in the final stages, we are expecting all works will be completed in a few days and soon the collectorate building will become operational,” expressed hope district collector S Venkat Rao.
Later Mr. Kumar visited Potula Madugu village in Bhootpur mandal and took stock of the Palle Prakruti Vanalus (Village Nurseries and Gardens). He enquired about the number plants being planted in the gardens, how much areas is being allocated for the garden and also asked if the villagers are effectively utilizing these parks for morning walk. Responding to the queries of the CS, the Mandal Level officials said that as many as 2000 plants have been planted in the half acre garden and said that not only the villagers of Potula Madugu are visiting the Palle Prakruti Vanam but also the Thanda dwellers in the surroundings are also visiting the park for recreation and to spend time in the serene green environments in their village.
Expressing satisfaction at the successful implementation of Palle Prakurti Vanam, the CS congratulated the officials and appraised them for the good work. The officials while speaking on the occasion said that they have planted 22 different varieties of plants in the village garden including fruit plants, medicinal plants, flowering plants and others.
The Chief Secretary was accompanied by Excise and Prohibition Commissioner and Director Sarfaraj Ahamad, Additional district collectors Seetharamarao, Tejas Nadalal Pawar, District Panchayat Officer Venkateshwarlu, DRDO Officer Venkat Reddy, Assistant Project Director Jakiya Sultana, Bhoothpur MPDO Munni, Sarpanch Kamalamma and other senior officials took part in the programme.
