Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr Batti Vikramarka Mallu reiterated the state government's commitment and support to industries, especially to the MSMEs



Hyderabad, March 02, 2024: Mr Batti Vikramarka Mallu, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Finance & Planning, Energy, Government of Telangana inaugurated the CII Telangana State Annual Meeting 2023-24 & Conference on Building a Competitive and Sustainable Telangana@2047. During his address, he highlighted Telangana's conducive environment for individuals across the country, emphasizing the state's robust infrastructure, including top-tier universities in its education system, an international airport, and a comprehensive road network. Mr Mallu also discussed the development initiatives in various sectors, including Pharma Villages, Textile Parks, Coal Industry, and mining, all of which are strategically planned in clustered frameworks. He underscored the importance of utilizing the Housing Board colonies as models for constructing satellite townships to enhance living standards. Furthermore, he emphasized the government's commitment to prioritizing the development of the MUSI river, considering it a crucial project for the state's progress. He highlighted the MSME sector as the largest and encouraged its active involvement in the state's development. Additionally, he underscored the importance of prioritizing agro-industries for the benefit of farmers and the advancement of women's development.

 

Mr C Shekar Reddy, Chairman, CII Telangana and Managing Director, CSR Estates Ltd delivered his welcome address, highlighting CII's alignment with government objectives and its efforts towards them. He discussed various reports produced by CII in collaboration with technical partners, including CII Telangana – ISB Report on MSMEs Roadmap 2047;  CII Telangana – Primus Partners White Paper on Potential of Defence & Aerospace Sector; CII Telangana – EY White Paper on Telangana’s Journey into Industry 4.0 Excellence; CII Telangana – Cushman & Wakefield White Paper on Urban Infrastructure & Real Estate Sector; CII Telangana – Avendus White Paper on Pharma & Lifesciences. He requested the government to consider modifications beneficial to the Ease of Doing Business, stressing that such changes would benefit both the government and the industry.


He also urged the government to consider providing support to MSMEs, which could encourage entrepreneurship in rural areas. Additionally, he proposed that the monetization of land surrounding the Ring Roads would not only benefit housing for the people but also provide financial advantages to both the government and its citizens.

 

Mr Kamal Bali, Chairman, Southern Region & President & managing Director Volvo Group India, Mr Sai D Prasad, Vice Chairman, CII Telangana & Executive Director, Bharat Biotech International Ltd, were among the notable speakers at the conference.


The Executive body of CII Telangana elected Mr Sai  Devarajulu Prasad, Executive Director, Bharat Biotech International Ltd as Chairman and Mr Sivaprasad Reddy Rachamallu, Managing Director, Rachamallu Forgings Private Limited as the Vice Chairman of CII Telangana for the year 2024-25.
