India Lab Expo, and Pharma Pro & Pack Expo 2024 kick off in Hyderabad


Hyderabad, 26th September 2024: The highly anticipated analytica Anacon India, India Lab Expo, and Pharma Pro&Pack Expo 2024 opened its doors today at the HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad. The inauguration of the largest-ever edition of the trade fairs was marked by a powerful call to action by Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Commerce, IT E&C and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana. His address underscored India's role as a global leader in pharmaceutical production, research, and innovation.


With over 500+ exhibitors, 7,000+ products, and 120+ new product launches, this year's edition serves as a key platform for driving India's growth in the scientific, laboratory, and pharmaceutical sectors. In his keynote, Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu set ambitious goals for India's pharmaceutical industry, envisioning a leap from the current 35% contribution to global pharmaceutical production to 50% in the coming years.


He further outlined the Government of Telangana's commitment to providing the best ecosystem for both large enterprises and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), ensuring that every player in the pharmaceutical and life sciences value chain has the resources and support to grow and thrive. "MSMEs are crucial to our growth, and we remain committed to creating an environment where these enterprises can prosper alongside global corporations," he added.


The minister also spoke about enhancing industrial infrastructure, including the development of specialized zones such as the Fourth Phase of Genome Valley, which will further cement Telangana's position as a leader in life sciences. He reiterated Telangana's dedication to being a strong partner state in the sector's global expansion, noting, "We are committed to continuing to lead in the Ease of Doing Business, and to ensuring that Telangana becomes an important node in the global life sciences value chain."


Bhupinder Singh's Remarks on Global Opportunities

In a special note during the inauguration, Mr. Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe Muenchen India, emphasized the significance of this year's event, "This edition is the largest trade fair ever held at HITEX Exhibition Center, but beyond its scale, the true strength lies in its diversity, "he noted. With over 25,000 participants from 70+ countries, including top decision-makers and innovators, the triad of events provides an unparalleled opportunity for businesses to explore groundbreaking technologies and forge critical partnerships". Singh emphasized the trade fairs' vision of positioning India as a global leader in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and lab technologies, lauding Telangana's leadership in these fields.
