*Doctors at Medicover Hospitals, Begumpet saved the life of a 60-year-old man suffering from heart attack with hole in heart (VSD) who required an open heart surgery operation by performing a heart procedure without incisions*
.Hyderabad, 21st February 2023: A 60-year-old man was admitted to Medicover Hospitals, Begumpet with cardiac arrest. The doctor who examined him diagnosed a hole in his heart (VSD) and heart failure. Such patients need open heart surgery at this time to close the hole along with bypass surgery. But open heart surgery carries high risk.
VSD device closure procedure is also very difficult in view of severe heart weakness and heart failure but team of cardiologists Dr. Deepak Saha, Dr. Saketh and Dr. Avinash Dal senior cardiothoracic surgeon successfully performed VSD device closure procedure without heart incision and closed the hole.
Later, Dr. Saketh said that 80 percent of people will die of heart failure due to the hole in heart caused by such a heart attack despite all the treatment. Without open heart surgery
A VSD device was passed from the thigh into the heart and the hole in heart (VSD) was successfully closed
