Dr Anil Krishna, Chairman and Managing Director - Medicover hospitals said that “Covid pandemic affected many people’s lives. There is no doubt that Covid 19 has completely changed the lifestyle of society in many ways”. Though there was not much effect of Covid 19 in the 1st wave but, 2nd wave had serious impact on health and crashed many people’s lives. And it’s not stopped there, in 3rd wave majority of the public got infected with Omicron variant but the influence of the same was mild. Corona virus spreads faster in larger gatherings and crowded places. Keeping the same in mind, we have to be cautious and avoid such gatherings and take necessary precautions.Speaking on the occasion Dr Raghu Kanth, Senior Consultant Pulmonology said, people who recovered from Covid 19 are suffering from long-standing effects like tiredness, sleeplessness, loss of taste and smell, continuous cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, giddiness and, depression. Patients don’t pay attention to these symptoms due to lack of awareness. They do not even know where to visit, which doctor to consult. If these symptoms are left untreated, they might impair functioning of other body organs sometimes. Due to which the financial burden will also increase on families.
