Ring in the festival season Katriya Hotel & Towers organizes traditional Cake Mixing event

Hyderabad, November 11, 2024: The best time of the year is back again with a different essence to celebrate the traditional cake mixing ceremony.  The age-old ceremony of cake mixing starts a few months before Christmas and the winter festivities and is considered to be an usher for good tidings and happiness.  The celebration of Christmas has grown to become a symbolic time for living in peace and love, similar to the way our daughters and mothers have been doing with their families, society and their well-being.

Katriya Hotel & Towers brings in Traditional Cake mixing with a motive to cherish special occasions and festivals with our future generations.  A cake mixing ceremony is an expression of joy, love, and happiness.

To set the cake mixing ceremony off, The staff members and specially invited guests of Katriya Hotel & Towers lead by Guest of Honour for the event Master Chef Bakti Arora and Mr Gopi, Executive Chef of the Hotel along with Mr. Shiva Rama Raju Garu, Managing Director, Katriya Hotel & Towers, Ms. Gayatri Raju, Joint Executive Director, Mr. Ramesh Babu, General Manager, Mr. Ashok, Food & Beverage Manager, Mr  Samuel Raj, Sales & Marketing Manager, Katriya Hotel & Towers wearing handed gloves, aprons and chefs hats has set to work with handfuls of fruit ceremoniously placed on the table mixing the fruit.

Once all the fruit was in, handfuls of fruit ceremoniously dumped into the streel basins, the menfolk mixing the fruit.  Once all the fruit was well mixed; the bottles were emptied one by one, with warnings on “no swigs allowed”. That done, the fruit is now going to be placed in a secure place to soak in all liquid and mature beautifully in time for Christmas and will then be used by the in-house bakery to make plum cakes, pudding etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Master Chef Bakti Arora said that it is a tradition at the hotel to welcome the holiday season with a fruit soaking ceremony ahead of Christmas.  I loved the tradition and thought it was a novel way to ring in the festive season.  The great thing was the camaraderie all around, and the whole hearted manner in which all are involved everyone in the ceremony, she says.

Further adding to it, Mr Ramesh Babu, General Manager, Katriya Hotel & Towers has announced that this event marks the beginning of upcoming festival season and the hotel is planning to organize a variety of events to celebrate the same.  He appealed to food lovers of Hyderabad to join these festivities and savor the delicacies served in its restaurants.
