WAAYU, India's first Zero commission food delivery app, goes live in Hyderabad disrupting the industry with ONDCs strong support


Hyderabad, November 06, 2024 : WAAYU, India's first zero-commission food delivery app, is now live in Hyderabad and Secunderabad post a grand launch event with restaurant owners, dignitaries from showing their relentless support to the Zero Commission model for food delivery initiative by WAAYU and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). With Hyderabad, It aims to collaborate with actively operating 3000+ restaurants, giving an impetus to order generation for the restaurants and seamless service to the consumers without additional charges.


The event was graced by many dignitaries representing all the associated stakeholders like Rishi Gupta, Lead-ONDC Food & Beverage category, Rohit Shaw, Head, ONDC Vertical, PayTM, and Rushil Mohan, CO-Founder, Pidge, India's biggest unified logistic partner. The event began with a welcome note by Shri. Ashok Reddy, Honorable President of Hyderabad Hotels Owners Confectioners Association, the city chapter of TSHA, who shared his thoughts on the initiative and association with WAAYU. This was followed by a joint address by Mandar Lande and Anirudha Kotgire, Founders of WAAYU App explaining the app, and how it is built to benefit the restaurant owners as well as consumers. This was followed by brief notes by Rishi Gupta, Rohit Shaw, and Rushil Mohan explaining roles of their respective entities in the association with WAAYU. The presence of Mr.S Venkat Reddy, President, Mr.CH. Venu Gopal, Secretary, Mr.N.K.ma Murthy, Treasurer of TSHA confirmed the association's warm welcome to WAAYU app in the state.


The collaboration between ONDC and Telangana State Hotels Association and the WAAYU app validates the need to challenge the hefty commissions and platform fee on other Quick E-Commerce platforms, which is a barrier between consumers and restaurants.
